Medicals Exams for High-Value Insurance Policies
When issuing high-value insurance policies, providers may require medical exams to underwrite and assess applicants’ health risks and determine pricing. Healthier individuals pay lower premiums, while those with health issues may pay more or be declined.
At Mariners Clinic, we work with all the major insurance providers and can perform exams suited to their needs. The exam typically takes under an hour and includes questions about medical history, prescriptions, and lifestyle. It measures vital signs like height, weight, blood pressure, and may involve blood and urine tests. For larger coverage or older applicants, additional tests may be required (X-rays, ECGs, kidney tests, etc.)
Please consult with your insurance provider or agent to determine the necessary tests. Typically, the insurance provider will handle the scheduling and payment for the required appointments.
If you are an insurance provider, we would be happy to conduct tests for you. Our rates are competitive and we can provide same or next day appointments. Please call the office to discuss.
We also serve the film and TV industry providing insurance medicals for cast and crew. For more information, follow the link to the dedicated page.
